IN RUSSIA, IT IS PROPOSED TO CLARIFY THE LIST OF EXPENSES SUBJECT TO ANNUAL DECLARATION BY PERSONS HOLDING PUBLIC OFFICE
In July, the State Duma of the Russian Federation received a draft law providing for the expansion of the list of expenses to be declared by persons holding public office in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Currently established that persons holding certain public positions are required to submit information annually on their expenses, as well as on the expenses of their spouses and minor children for each transaction related to the acquisition of:
- land plot, other real estate object;
- vehicle;
- shares (shares of participation in the capital of organizations);
- digital financial assets, digital currency.
At the same time, it was established that such information is provided if the total amount of such transactions exceeds the total income of this person and his spouse for the last three years preceding the reporting period. In this case, the person must also disclose information about the sources of funds from which these transactions were made.
According to the draft law, it is proposed to add list with transactions for the acquisition of the following things:
- luxury goods, including those made of precious metals and (or) precious stones;
- works of art;
- antiques.
It is assumed that this draft law will be considered by the State Duma of Russia in the first reading at one of the next session.
